In Online Store: Winning Plays, Best Mini-Drama Student Contest
We are delighted to announce the launch of an online store on the Rehearsal for Truth Theater Festival website, owned by the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation, one of the festival’s organizers. And, what better way to launch such store than with new theater plays?
The first publications available in the store are the recently published three winning one-act plays from the Best Mini-Drama Student Contest. Authors Petr Erbes, Ellis Stump, and Abigail Henkin, accomplished students of theater and playwriting, have adapted Vaclav Havel’s themes and applied them to the current social and political environment. They use Havel’s characters to pose questions about individual responsibility regarding the working environment, abuse of technology and privacy, balancing aspirations and everyday life practicalities, and much more. The plays are smart, witty, and short!
Your purchase will enable the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation, a non-profit organization preserving the legacy of playwright Vaclav Havel, to publish more student plays, thus support young people's creativity.
